I heart snow people.

I know this is a silly post but it's so true. Snow people are, by far, my favorite holiday decor. They are so cute. I'm a little obsessed :)

life lessons by Kylie

I thought this was very cute. Kylie drew these pictures for me. She made a matching set for Brandon except they said Daddy, of course. I'm pretty sure they just finished the DARE program at school. Little things like this make me realize how fast she's growing up. It's a sad reality that children have to know about drugs at all but I'm thankful that she listened and learned the right things to do.

Happy 8th Birthday to my little girl!

Today is Kylie's 8th birthday! I can't believe it's been 8 years since I heard that first cry at 2:34 pm on December 14, 2000. Time really goes by quickly and it seems like you blink and they're grown. I'm so proud of this young lady. She's in 2nd grade and she is brilliant! She's such a wonderful student, she's never received anything but an A. She loves to play soccer and to run. I just asked her a few questions and the following are her answers (not edited in any way):

1. Favorite color? black

2. Favorite movie? Wall-E

3. Favorite food? italian

4. Favorite activity? electronics

5. Favorite holiday/why? Christmas, because you give people stuff

6. Best friends? Courtnie
7. If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have one thing, what would it be?
my Parents

8. If you had a million dollars, what would you buy? a car, a house and life insurance
9. Something a lot of people don't know about you? I'm double jointed
10. If you could teach the people of the world one lesson, what would it be? not to litter

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was held at my aunts house in Powder Springs this year. It was especially significant to me because it's the first holiday since our family has been reunited. Everything was wonderful, such a change from last year. I have so much to be thankful for! I love spending time with my family. It's going to be awesome to experience all the holidays coming up and to see how much different our family is now (different in a wonderful way).
A few photo of our Thanksgiving day:
I'm not really sure what started this but before I knew it, I was in the back of my grandfather's truck with all 3 of my kids and my nephew, Alex. Most of the family was gathered around the truck and there was a lot of photo taking going on. We're strange.
My [little] sister

My baby, Ollie

The only picture taken with Elijah. He wouldn't stand still long enough for photo opportunities.

Just one of 3 attempts to get a decent picture with my lovely daughter. At least I looked good in this one *wink*.
